Reheating Instructions

A successful holiday starts with timing! And since timing is everything, you’ll want to allow a minimum of 1 hour for preparing and heating your food before you serve it. For faster preparation be sure to pre-heat your oven. Use these heating/cooking instructions to plan ahead so you’ll end up with a perfectly delicious dinner and more time to spend with your family.

Cooking/Heating Instructions are provided for the following items: Southern Red Beans (64 oz) Macaroni & Cheese (64 oz), Candied Yams (64 oz), Cornbread Dressing (64 oz), Turkey Gravy (16 oz) and Whole Berry (16 oz) Cranberry Sauce. 

MACARONI AND CHEESE

OVEN INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F. Macaroni & Cheese will fit into any 4 quart ovenproof dish with lid. If lid is not available, substitute with foil. Spray ovenproof dish lightly with non-stick spray. Transfer food to ovenproof dish. For a creamier version add 1/4 cup of milk and stir. For cheesier version top with 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese (not included).Cover and place into the 350°F oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS

Add two tablespoons of milk or water and heat on high, covered loosely, for three minutes. Remove lid and stir well. Re-cover loosely and heat on high for two more minutes. Carefully remove lid and serve.

 

DRESSING

OVEN INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F. The dressing will fit into any 4 quart ovenproof dish with lid. If lid is not available, substitute with foil. Spray ovenproof dish lightly with non-stick spray. Transfer food to ovenproof dish. Cover and place into the 350°F oven for 30 minutes. Remove lid. If you desire a crispy crust return to the oven and bake until golden brown.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS

Add one tablespoon of water and heat on high, covered loosely, for three minutes. Remove lid and stir well. Re-cover loosely and heat on high for two more minutes. Carefully remove lid and serve.

 

SOUTHERN RED BEANS

STOVETOP INSTRUCTIONS

The red beans will fit into any 4 quart saucepan or pot with lid. If lid is not available, substitute with foil. Spray saucepan or pot lightly with non-stick spray. Transfer food to saucepan or pot and add 1/4 cup of water or turkey stock. Cover and place on medium heat for 30 minutes.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS

Add one tablespoon of water and heat on high, covered loosely, for three minutes. Remove lid and stir well. Re-cover loosely and heat on high for two more minutes. Carefully remove lid and serve.

 

CANDIED SWEET POTATOES

OVEN INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F. The sweet potatoes will fit into any 4 quart ovenproof dish with lid. If lid is not available, substitute with foil. Spray ovenproof dish lightly with non-stick spray. Transfer food to ovenproof dish. Cover and place into the 350°F oven for 30 minutes. Remove lid. Optional serving suggestion: top with marshmallows (not included) and bake in oven until golden brown.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS

Heat on high, covered loosely, for 3 minutes. Remove lid and stir well. Re-cover loosely and heat on high for 3 minutes.

 

GRAVY

OVEN INSTRUCTIONS

Place in medium saucepan. Gently heat, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes. Do not allow to boil.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS

Heat on high, covered loosely, for four minutes. • Remove lid and stir well. Re-cover loosely and heat on high for four more minutes. • Remove and let stand, covered, 2 minutes. • Carefully remove lid and serve.

 

CRANBERRY SAUCE

No reheating needed, this item may be served cold a condiment. Pour into a serving dish or container.
